Standard Size Backpack
Students will keep a change of clothing and a folder in their backpack. Please purchase a backpack large enough to fit these items. The standard size backpack allows for independence and decreases frustration that occurs with a smaller size backpack. Please label your child’s backpack.
Classroom Supplies:
- Dixon Ticonderoga #2 wooden pencils (1 dozen, sharpened preferred)
- Crayola crayons (4 boxes, 24 count)
- Crayola broad tip “CLASSIC” markers (1 box of 10 markers)
- Elmer’s white liquid school glue (4oz bottle)
- Elmer’s glue sticks (24 small glue sticks)
- Kleenex (1 large box)
- Disinfecting Wipes
- Baby wipes (unscented)
- Ziploc bags (gallon and quart)
- Ribbed paper plates (small and regular size)
- Softsoap hand soap (1 bottle w/pump)
- Purell hand sanitizer (1 bottle w/pump)
- Mr. Clean Magic Eraser

- 4 boxes of new Crayola crayons (24 count) regular crayons only, (box usually says “preferred by teachers”). It is outlined in red with a red crayon pictured on top (not washables)
- 2 large containers of Disinfecting Wipes (30 count)
- 2 dozen DIXON TICONDEROGA #2 wooden pencils (sharpened)
- 1 large box of quality Kleenex
- 1 box Crayola broad tip “Assorted” Colors (10 or 12 pack)
- 1 box Crayola broad tip “Bright” Colors markers (10 or 12 pack)
- 1 Pentel high polymer erasers (white) 4pack
- 2 small Elmer’s glue sticks (12 pack) “disappearing purple”
- 1 4oz. bottle Elmer’s white liquid glue
- 1 Prang watercolor set, 8 colors with brush
- 1 pair Fiskars dull point child scissors
- 1 Box sandwich sized Ziploc bags
- 1 Box quart-sized Ziploc bags
- 1 Box gallon sized Ziploc bags
If your child’s last name begins with:
- A-M: Please bring 1 bottle of Softsoap (w/pump)
- N-Z: Please bring 1 bottle of Purell hand sanitizer (w/pump)
Look for Back-to-School sales. Several items can be purchased for $1.00 or less! (Target or Wal-Mart).
Please buy brand names when specified, if possible. DO NOT purchase ROSEART BRAND school supplies. Please send your child’s supplies during the first week of school
1st Grade
To Parents of Incoming First Grade Students:
In the fall of each year, teachers generally ask parents to donate supplies. Parents have requested that these lists be sent out now so that supplies can be purchased during August when many of the stores have special Back-to-School sales. As always, the school will provide the necessary supplies when families are unable to donate them. These items may be brought to the child’s teacher during the first week of school.
The first day of school is Thursday, August 18. See you then. Have a wonderful summer!
- 1 pair scissors (blunt edge, child size)
- 12 large Elmers glue sticks (No Rose Art)
- 2 dozen #2 Ticonderoga pencils (sharpened)
- 4 Pentel High Polymer erasers (white)
- 1 box Kleenex
- 1 small pencil box (5x7 plastic box only) (no zippers or pencil pouch)
- 1 box BROAD Line, CRAYOLA markers
- 10 CLASSIC Colors – (no Rose Art)

2nd Grade

- 1 Crayola crayons – 16 pack (No Rose Art) **
- 3 2-pocket heavy duty folders
- 2 Highlighters (one pink, one yellow)
- 1 container of baby wipes or Clorox Wipes
- 1 Hand Soap (7.5 Fl. Oz.)
- 2 hand sanitizers (12 oz each)
- 4 Magic Rub erasers
- 1 box Kleenex
- 2 single subject 5 star, wide-ruled spiral notebook with pockets
- 1 Composition Notebook, Marble Cover, 100 sheets

3rd Grade
To the Parents of Incoming Third Grade Students:
In the fall of each year, teachers generally ask parents to donate supplies. Parents have requested that these lists be sent out now so that supplies can be purchased during August when many of the stores have special Back-to-School sales. As always, the school will provide the necessary supplies when families are unable to donate them.
- 1 heavy-duty yellow folder (plastic or poly)
- 1 blue pocket folder (paper or plastic)
- 1 red pocket folder (paper or plastic)
- 1 pencil box (approximately 9” x 5”)
- 1 inch/cm ruler (not bendable)
- 2 one-subject spiral notebooks with perforated pages and folder pocket (ex. Mead Star)
- **1 heavy-duty pocket folder, no fasteners, any design (not in the SchoolKidz kit)
- 1 box of Kleenex
- 1 container of baby wipes, unscented
- 1 bottle of hand sanitizer (8 oz.)
Please have the following items UNPACKAGED and already organized in the pencil box on the first day of school. Put items in parentheses into a large Ziploc bag labeled with your child’s name.
- 2 dozen #2 Ticonderoga sharpened pencils (put 22 pencils in the Ziploc bag)
- 2 Magic Rub erasers (1 in Ziploc)
- 1 good quality pencil sharpener w/ cover
- 1 box of 12 Twistable Crayola crayons
- 2 large Elmer’s glue sticks (1 in Ziploc)
- 1 box of 10 thin markers
- 4oz bottle of Elmer’s glue
- 1 pair student scissors
- 4 highlighters: green, yellow, red, and blue
- **4 – 3x3 Post-It brand sticky note pads, light color (not in the SchoolKidz kit)
**These items are not part of the SchoolKidz kit that some parents are opting to purchase through the Collins PTA. Therefore, they need to be bought separately.
Clearly mark the following with your child’s name: pencil sharpener, crayon box, marker box, scissors, glue bottle, glue sticks, ruler, and erasers (if possible). No need to put your child’s name on individual items such as pencils and crayons.
Please send your child’s supplies on the first day of school ready to go. Any school supplies that your child brings that are NOT on this list may be sent home.

4th Grade

- 36-48 #2 Dixon Ticonderoga pencils (sharpened) (NOT MECHANICAL) (Bring 1 dozen per trimester – DON’T BRING ALL AT ONCE!)
- 1 each: green, yellow, blue & pink highlighters
- 1 gum eraser
- 1 set colored pencils (sharpened)
- 2 large glue sticks
- 1 large box of Kleenex
- 12” ruler (in. & cm.)
- 1 pair student size scissors
- 1 FINE TIP black felt pen (or more)
- 1 hand-held double barrel canister pencil sharpener
- 1 pencil pouch w/name on it (No boxes! All items must fit in pouch!) Have everything in pencil pouch ready to put in your desk!
- 7 - 2-pocket folders: (Example: Mead Five Star)
- 1 pocket dictionary
Your child’s teacher may add a few items specific to their class.
Please send your child’s supplies on the first day of school ready to go.
Any school supplies that your child brings that are NOT on this list may be sent home.
